Our Projects
Repair Cafe
We’re on a mission to help keep ‘stuff’ going for longer. That’s why we’ve started a volunteer-led pop-up repair shop & cafe in the heart of Tenterden.
Our skilled team will repair anything from clothes to cuddly toys and bikes to blenders. Tea & cake are on sale by the local Scouts.
Monthly on Saturdays, 13:00-15:30, at The Scout Hut, Bells Lane in Tenterden.
Partners: Tenterden Town Council & Kent Scouts
Tackling Plastic Pollution
We’re freeing where we live of single-use plastic pollution. We have joined the Surfers Against Sewage Plastic-Free Communities campaign to reduce single-use plastics from cities to coasts.
We’re engaging businesses, residents and visitors by raising awareness, sharing information and providing inspiration for living with less plastic. We organise community events that highlight the issue of plastic pollution and inspire action to reduce single-use plastics and increase recycling.
We’re delighted to announce that Chapel Down Winery has become our first Plastic Free Business Champion, which means they have dedicated to a path of plastic reduction across their business.
Watch this space for events news and collaborations with local businesses.

Recycling the unrecyclable
We’ve partnered with TerraCycle, an innovative recycling company able to process hard-to-recycle materials like biscuit wrappers and crinkly dishwasher packs. What’s more, our collections are converted to cash for our nominated local not-for-profit EC30 - Community Wellbeing & Social Prescribing Centre.
We’ve got local schools on board collecting items too, increasing engagement and raising awareness about the importance of using materials with care and then recycling them. Our young people are keen recyclers.
